Get involved with our work

There are many opportunities to get involved with Bangalore RCOG, and we actively seek the help and support of our members, other healthcare professionals and the public as we work to improve women’s health care worldwide through education, training and improving clinical quality. See below for information about how to get involved.

Submit an idea for a new educational product

The RCOG produces a wide range of educational products: courses, conferences, e-learning modules, apps and so on. We welcome ideas for new products from our membership and other stakeholders.

Support our fundraising and development activities

The RCOG has set up a Development Office, which will raise funds for UK-based projects and for the College’s expanding work to improve infant and maternal mortality and morbidity in under-resourced countries.

Contribute to the RCOG’s journals, BJOG and TOG

The College publishes two journals, BJOG and TOG, and we encourage anyone working in women’s health to submit articles for consideration by the Editorial Board, review for the journals or take part in our journal clubs:

Contribute to StratOG

StratOG is the RCOG’s online learning resource. Visit the StratOG website for details of the products we offer to support training and professional development in O&G. We’re currently looking for volunteers to:

  • Write online case studies for a new CPD resource
  • Write single best answer (SBA) questions for the StratOG core training tutorials
  • Peer-review the StratOG core training tutorials
  • User-test new e-learning products

To express an interest in getting involved with any of these activities, please outlining your area of clinical interest.

Teach on our online Enhanced Revision Programme

The Enhanced Revision Programme is designed to help non-UK candidates prepare for the Part 2 MRCOG written exam. We’re looking for UK and internationally based consultants to act as moderators on the programme. We provide all the training you need, and you can teach online from home or your workplace – whatever works for you.

Franchise an RCOG course

Become part of the RCOG’s global community and organise a recognised RCOG course in your own area or country. The College provides all course materials and Training the Trainers workshops for local faculty, as well as an RCOG certificate of attendance for all delegates and participating faculty.

Broadcast one of our courses

We run over 70 courses at the College each year across the whole spectrum of O&G. We offer the opportunity to broadcast these courses via videoconference, giving those who can’t visit the RCOG in person the chance to attend an RCOG conference or course.

Set up an MRCOG Examination and Education Centre

As part of our work to improve women’s health care and enhance O&G practice globally, we’re committed to developing new MRCOG Examination and Education Centres around the world.

Volunteering opportunities

The RCOG is a firm supporter of volunteering, as it brings benefits both at a local level and for individual volunteers.

Engaging with the public

RCOG Women’s Network

The RCOG Women’s Network advises the College on issues affecting women during pregnancy, labour and birth, as well as infertility, gynaecological coditions through to the menopause and beyond. We’re currently recruiting new members from Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Women’s Voices Involvement Panel

The Women’s Voices Involvement Panel is a new RCOG initiative to create a bigger ‘virtual’ group of women who we can approach whenever we need a wider opinion on issues. Most of the work can be done through email and members of the group can pick and choose what they’re involved in to best suit their interests and availability.

Advertising, exhibition and sponsorship opportunities

You can reach our members and other healthcare professionals working in women’s health through various advertising, exhibition and sponsorship opportunities at our events, on our website and in our journals and other publications.
